Jeezy has denied the latest allegations Jeannie Mai made against him amid their ongoing divorce.
On Thursday, April 25, The Shade Room revealed accusations of domestic abuse and child neglect that Mai's legal team included in a recent filing. According to the court documents, Mai alleged Jeezy verbally and physically abused her on several occasions dating back to January 2022. One instance allegedly occurred just a few weeks after their daughter Monaco was born. While inside of a car in Miami, Jeezy allegedly hurled insults at Mai before he hit her with a closed fist across her cheekbone and eye, which reportedly caused a "subconjunctival hemorrhage."
The couple reportedly sought counseling from a pastor and therapist a week after the Miami incident, but their problems reportedly continued. A few months later in April 2022, Mai claimed Jeezy punched her in the face and pushed her down a flight of steps at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in San Francisco, Calif. He also called Mai a "f**king b***h" and said "I can do so much better than you."
Mai's recent filing also includes more allegations of verbal abuse and an instance of child neglect. Mai claims she found their young daughter Monaco holding one of Jeezy's Louis Vuitton bags in October 2023. She explained the bag felt heavy and later discovered that Jeezy's AK-47 was inside it. Afterward, Mai said she removed their child from the home they shared. Soon after the allegations were revealed, Jeezy denied all the claims in a statement.
"The allegations are not only false, but also deeply disturbing, especially coming from someone I loved," Jeezy said in a statement. "This malicious attempt to tarnish my character and disrupt my family is ridiculous. It's disheartening to witness the manipulation and deceit at play and at this time my main concern is being an active father to our daughter as I continue to fight for court mandated joint custody. Rest assured, the truth will prevail through the proper legal channels"
Jeezy filed for divorce last September. Since then, Jeannie Mai broke her silence about the divorce and cited concerning details about their relationship amid the custody battle over baby Monaco. However, this is the first time Mai has provided thorough details about the alleged abuse she experienced during her marriage to Jeezy.
